Theatre Director

Hello Panthers, patrons, and prospective students and families. Thank you for taking the time to visit our Panther Theatre website. I am Ms. Crussard, the Theatre Director/Teacher at Cypress Lake High and I hope this message finds you well.

I am so proud of all the incredible things our Theatre Program has to offer, not only to our Theatre Majors, but to our community as a whole. It is my personal mission to spread joy through Theatre and it is my sincere hope that your experience here, whether as a learner or an audience member, inspires a lifetime love of the Theatre arts.

I believe Theatre is for everyone. Whether you love being on stage as a performer, or you prefer the behind-the-scenes life of a designer, the Cypress Lake High Theatre Program will help you grow into the artist you are meant to be. If you are interested in joining our program, please take a moment to explore the CLASSROOM page, which includes the progression of classes you will take as a company member. If you're ready to take the next step, check out the AUDITIONS page for information on how to officially join our award-winning program.

If you just want to see what's going on, browse the BOX OFFICE or GALLERY. Our season is filled with an array of theatre experiences that will appeal to a variety of interests.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about the Panther Theatre Co. We look forward to welcoming you soon.

Annabel Crater

President, Class of 2022

I am honored to be the President of our Theatre Department. Theatre is a magical artform that has changed my life ever since I was in my first show at age 5. It is so important to me to make sure everyone has the opportunity to fall in love with Theatre. The Panther Theatre Co. is a family and the Blackbox is a safe place to learn, grow, and develop your skills as an artist, as well as create lifelong bonds with your classmates. I am so proud of what we have here and I believe, regardless of your skill and experience, there is a place for you here.

Arielle Watts

Vice President, Class of 2022

Hi everyone!! My name is Arielle Watts and I am the Vice President of Panther Theatre Co. I have been in three of the school musicals and many other school performances. I am very involved at CLHS, but my favorite part of school is the Theatre Department. My favorite part of PTC is the family dynamic and the ability to share my love of theatre with others. This is such a great year and I am so happy to work with Ms. Crussard and the other PTC Officers.

Taylor Ward

Secretary, Class of 2022

I am very excited to be the Panther Theatre Co. Secretary this year. I have been involved in Theatre since middle school and am active in many other school clubs. I have been part of our school musical every year, as well as the district theatre festival and Beans & Scenes. Besides Theatre, I enjoy playing the piano and ukulele.

The Theatre Department has always been a home to me, and it's where different people can bond over their common love the Theatre. I am looking forward to my last season at Cypress and hope you enjoy our shows!

Bella Commorato

Treasurer, Class of 2023

This is my first year as a Panther Theatre Co. Officer and I am excited for it. My most recent Theatre credits include Anastasia, Disney's Descendants, Little Shop of Horrors, as well as roles in multiple One-Acts over the years. I really enjoy working backstage, especially as Stage Manager or Assistant Stage Manager and am so grateful that Cypress offers an array of such opportunities. In addition to Theatre, I am a Cypress Lake High School Cheerleader. My hope is to be part of the continued growth of our amazing Theatre Program.

Guinevere Bortnicker-Kiniry

I am super excited and proud to be the Panther Theatre Co. Historian! I have been part of this program for 3 years. Other shows I have been in are Bible Herstory, Pippin, and Hunchback of Notre Dame, along with many others over the years. I am so grateful to be here, and for my parents and many teachers and directors who have supported me along the way.
