Cypress Lake Theatre: 5341
Welcome Thespians!
Welcome and welcome back to all 2009/2010 theatre students!
This year has the potential to be one of our finest years yet! But, in order to make that a reality it will take hard work and dedication from each member of this program. There are many opportunities available, such as, Beans and Scenes, Sweet Charity, American Clock, IE's, Love's Labours Lost, NoShame, and more ... so I strongly encourage every single one of you to be involved, committed, and united in the effort to maintain and exceed troupe 5341's already high standard! We are a family, and together I am confident that we will produce quality AND winning performances.
Should you ever have any questions or suggestions always feel free to email me at 5341president@cypresslaketheatre.com/.
Again, I look forward to seeing, working, and performing with everyone and to a stellar new year! Oh, and the cookies.
My best,
Kacie

Thespian Jamboree Mp3!
Hey, guys. Welcome back.
It's time for our second mp3 experiment.
The mp3 experiment is something we did at That Thing, last year. If you don't know a whole lot about it, here's the skinny..
This mp3 has been created and designed to add the the festivities of tomorrow's first Thespian meeting, the Thespian Jamboree.
The whole troupe must download this mp3 and either burn it to a CD for a portable CD player, cram it into the media player of a phone, or put it on an iPod or other mp3 player. You also need to bring your headphones.
The key to the success of the mp3 experiment is that nobody listens to the mp3 ahead of time. It ruins the fun! Once you download it, the only part you're allowed to hear is my lovely voice yelling, "Yep! It worked!" After that, slam on the pause, and wait 'til tomorrow. We'll all listen to it at the same time, and have a great old time.
If you don't have an iPod or any way to be able to listen to your own personal copy, don't worry. People won't mind sharing tomorrow. We've got you covered.
Another boring thing for you to read: The outlook is grim for the number of people that actually remember to download the mp3 and bring it tomorrow. PLEASE CALL ANYONE YOU KNOW THAT PROBABLY DIDN'T REMEMBER TO DO THIS. CALL THEM NOW AND REMIND THEM. Also, if you happen to know any freshman, try and nudge them, too. We want everyone to be able to participate and have a good time tomorrow.
1. Click the following link: http://www.sendspace.com/file/8f08jh
2. Click the big orange download button smack-dab in the middle of the page.
3. If prompted, choose 'SAVE' rather than 'OPEN.'
4. Add the mp3 file (Mp3 Project Two - 5341.mp3) to your music library. Usually, you can just drag and drop it into iTunes.
5. Make sure that you add it to a playlist that will sync with your iPod.
6. After syncing, check to see if it's in your iPod. You can hit play on it, to make sure you hear something, and to make sure that it's around 31 minutes long.
7. Send me an email at willie.filkowski@gmail.com and let me know either that you have it, you're ready to go, and my voice is beautiful, or to tell me you're having a problem. If you're emailing me over the latter, let me know the best way to get in contact with you tonight to help you troubleshoot.
Congrats! You're ready for tomorrow.
Selah,
William Elaine
